Iraqi "al-Nujaba Movement" Officially participates in the Battel of Aleppo…Who are They?

The Syrian regime has confessed through its military media the participation of  "al-Nujaba Iraqi Movement" in the battel of Aleppo. Pro-regime social networking sites have circulated through Facebook a video titled "The Islamic  Resistance of Hezbollah (al-Nujaba militants) in Aleppo with the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army".

The video showed members of al-Nujaba Iraqi movement holding its flags along with images for its figures without any reference to the presence of Syrian forces or any flags or images that represent them. It's remarkable that a lot of Shiite banners were hold in the parade.

"The Islamic resistance (Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba)" as it calls itself, is considered one of the fighting Shiite militias in Syria and Iraq, in defense of the Shiite holy shrines,  as what it defines itself. It was established by the Shiite Sheikh "Akram al-Kabi", who was one of the leaders of "al-Mahdi Army" and the founder of "Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq" (League of the Righteous) militia, then he dissociated himself and established "al-Nujba movement.

The movement works under an Iranian funding and ideology and it seeks to establish the state of divine justice under the leadership of al-Imam al-Mahdi.

According to what the movement has published, their weapon ranges between light, medium and heavy; the fighters carry light and medium weapons like "Kalashnikov AK-47" "M16", personal pistols "PKC", Snaiperskaya HS-50 snipers and RPG-7 rocket-propelled grenade.

The fighters use 60, 82, 100 and 120 mm mortars of various sizes and Katyusha missiles. There are some pictures which indicate using small and large missile launchers, let alone using T-64 and T-55 Russian tanks, and the various types of artillery, including M-46 in addition to the SUVs wheels, pickup trucks and military Hummers.

al-Nujaba movement has workshops for the manufacturing of "al-Ashtar" missiles which they use a lot in their military operations, in addition to advanced missiles from Iran: "Fateh" and "Fajr", along with drones. They mainly fight in Damascus countryside (Shebaa Farms) and in Aleppo and its countryside.

al-Nujaba Iraqi movement is considered one of the most sectarian militias who had lost its members in the countryside of Aleppo over the past months, as the number of its dead members and captives at the hands of the rebels exceeded more than 100 members.

The battels of Aleppo had attracted the foreign militias that support the Syrian regime, as the number of nationalities of those who support regime forces in the battel of Aleppo alone reached 5 nationalities (Russian, Iranian, Iraqi, Lebanese, and Afghani). The common thing is that they all receive Iranian support except for the Russian forces which members hold the rank of military expert and planner.
