The rebels, in the battel of breaking the siege of Aleppo, have managed to liberate about 20 military positions in a record time and according to the plan which extends across six stages, four of which are completed. However, the people of Aleppo are still aspiring to witness the stage beyond breaking the siege.
Abu Yusuf al-Muahjir, the military spokesman for Ahrar al-Sham Islamic Movement, explained to Baladi News that "the battel will not stop at breaking the siege of Aleppo, rather it will extend to liberate the whole city of Aleppo and its countryside".
"The battel will not stop until the liberation of all the possible territories at least the northern areas for the time being, and this is considered a step in the way to liberate Syria as a whole", he confirmed.
al-Muhajir revealed that Turkey, the neighboring country of Syria from the northern front, has a role in the battel of Aleppo, refusing to reveal the nature of this role in the battel of breaking the siege of Aleppo; he said: "Turkey has been a supporting state for the revolution since the very beginning, whether in the battel of Aleppo or in any other one, but it's unknown exactly what it has provided for the factions".
The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has declared more than once his support to the Syrian people in their revolution, describing the head of the Syrian regime as a killer.
There have been significant changes on the Syrian geopolitical map in the north, as the so-called "autonomy" of the Kurds in the north has emerged, which represents a sort of self-governance of what they called the Kurdish region north of Syria, which includes areas in al-Hasaka and al-Qamishli along with Arab villages on the northern borderline, in addition to some of the cultivated areas within the province of Aleppo, such as al-Sheikh Maksoud neighborhood within the city of Aleppo and Afrin area in the countryside of it. Meanwhile, "ISIS" has announced its state in the east and northeast of Syria, which includes the provinces of al-Raqqa and Deir al-Zor and a part of the province of Aleppo.
Based on this complex map, al-Muhajir denied that the ultimate goal of the battel in the northern part of Syria is to build an entity or administration parallel to those entities. He also stressed that this suggestion is out of question because it implies sufficiency with what has been achieved and liberated, which doesn't comply with the revolution we fight for. Our goal is to liberate the whole country and build a just, safe and free Syria".
