10 civilians were wounded on Sunday after targeting the city of Idlib with incendiary phosphorus bombs by the regime and Russia.

In details, 10 civilians were wounded due to the Russian warplanes' bombardment on the city of Idlib with 4 airstrikes using missiles loaded with incendiary bombs.

The activist Ahmad Rahal said in an interview with Baladi News: "at 11 pm, Russian warplanes targeted with 4 airstrikes loaded with incendiary phosphorus bombs the Faculty of Arts at Idlib's university along with the cultural center and al-Dour bus station near Harun al-Rashid school which led to wounding 10 people".

"The airstrikes have caused the outbreak of wildfires as a result of the interaction of phosphorus with oxygen, which pushed the civil defense teams to intervene by ministering the wounded and extinguishing the fires", al-Rahal added.

al-Rahal believes that targeting Idlib with such kind of internationally banned bombs is a clear revenge by the regime and Russia and a response to their defeats on the fronts of Aleppo, which Jaish al-Fatah has managed to break their siege and inflicting the regime and its supporters heavy losses in lives and material.

Furthermore, Russian warplanes haven't stopped bombarding the civilians in Idlib, as they launched intensive airstrikes on the city of Saraqib which the civil defense has announced in its statement a stricken city.
