Baladi News – Aleppo (Private)
The Syrian resistance factions declared on Sunday afternoon the full liberation of the Artillery Academy in Ramouse district during the third stage of the battle of breaking the siege on the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo city.
Baladi News correspondent said that Jaysh al-Fatah (Army of Conquest) took full control over the academy after detonating a truck bomb inside. The army also captured the al-Shurfa Quarries in Aleppo northern countryside.
Last Thursday, the factions participating in the battle of breaking the siege on Aleppo liberated al-Amiriyya village and al-Jam’iyat hill south from Aleppo.
The complex of military academies in Ramouse, including its main pillar, the Artillery Academy, has been the largest and the most important military division for the Syrian regime since the beginning of the Syrian war, as it includes the biggest amount of canons and missiles that have been used in the bombardment of the liberated areas of Aleppo city and countryside. Moreover, its strategic location over Ramouse hill looking over Ramouse road is key to controlling the whole surrounding areas.
