Choosing the name "Syrian Resistance" wasn't arbitrary as much as it was late, after the Syrian regime became dependent on multi-national sectarian militias and the foreign mercenaries to kill the Syrians and displacing them, along with changing the demography of their cities and eliminating the revolutionary factions which extended the regime's lifespan over the past years.
Years after the Syrian revolution against the Syrian regime, the Syrian economy turned into a subservient to the Iranian economy, as Syrian has become a dumping ground for the very bad Iranian goods, reaching the poor military supplies which started to flow on the Syrian army. Moreover, the Iranians now have a foothold in most of the pivotal military airbases in Syria, along with the responsibility on the strategic weapons, especially the Ballistic missiles, as in the factories of defense in al-Safira in the countryside of Aleppo and al-Kitaifa and Brigade 155 in Damascus countryside.
This form of invisible economic and military permeation has transformed into a blatant and overt intervention with the beginning of the proliferation of the Iranian military bases in Syria which started to appear gradually with the development of battels, along with the increasing numbers of the Iranian and Afghani forces in Syria which are suffering from the poor preparation and the great need for training as they take their exercises in camps almost void from the Syrian regime and are considered Iranian bases.
Moreover, a lot of villages and regions in Syria have turned into what can be considered as Iranian cantons which work in direct connection with Iran and the regime doesn't have the power to control it. Nubul and al-Zahraa in the northern countryside of Aleppo are a good example as well as al-Sayida Zeinab neighborhood in Damascus, and others like Kafrya and al-Fu'ah in the countryside of Idlib.
Hezbollah's militia has its own headquarters like Fatemioun and Zenabioun militia and the Iraqi Shiite brigades which operate independently away from regime forces and have the power over it.
After the Iranian predomination over the Syrian arena for 4 years, Russia entered the area suddenly, probably in an attempt to prevent the regime's collapse which was strongly lurching despite the Russian and Iranian great support. Later on, the first Russian military base appeared in Humaimeim airbase which turned officially into a Russian territory.
The difference between the Russian and Iranian intervention is the title deed which al-Assad signed, in which he gave Humaimeim airbase to the Russians, the thing that put its forces in a better situation for a while.
The Syrian regime is unable to fight alone, once the aerial support for his forces stops, its forces and militias will fall apart despite their huge number and extensive arming, however, they have lost many areas during the decrease of the Russian aerial support.
With the influx of the foreign powers and the military airbases they have built in Syria, Syria has turned from the state of the Iranian colony which was before the war, into a state occupied by a group of foreign militias which care only about the interests of their supporting countries.
Due to all of the aforementioned, we have decided in Baladi News Network to approve naming the (Syrian Resistance) instead of the revolutionary factions of the armed Syrian opposition on the defenders of the territory of Syria which have been completely invaded after being sold by the regime at the lowest prices in exchange for staying in power.
The Syrian Resistance because it's fighting an illegitimate and unacceptable regime by the Syrians, including those who live in the regime-held areas who are eager to get rid of him after torturing their sons and forcibly throwing them in the battlefields.
Syrian Resistance to get rid of factionalism and regionalism and all the projects which some factions supported with foreigners have tried to impose their agendas on the Syrians.
Syrian Resistance to create a Syrian liberal national draft to confront all the foreign projects, which the regime and its supporters want to apply at the expense of Syria and its people.
