Baladi News – Al-Hasakah (Kinan Sultan)
The Kurdish Units militia detained more than ten residents of al-Bahira village near Amuda city on Saturday, one day after the detonation of a bomb in the city and the capture of a 17 years old Arab youngster who was wounded in the explosion.
Media sources in al-Hasakah indicated that what was believed to be a bomb exploded near a car in Amuda city, which caused severe injuries of a 17 years old Arab youngster who was nearby. The sources added that the youngster was detained by the Kurdish Units on charges of being responsible for the incident. The media quoted sources inside the units as saying that the boy died of his wounds, meanwhile others said the boy is still alive in a hospital.
After the explosion, Asayish (Kurdish security) started an intense detention campaign in al-Bahira village that the boy hails from. The campaign ended with capturing 10 civilians. Later, four of them were released, but there were severe torture marks on their bodies.
Regarding the explosion, member of al-Hasakah Youth Union, activist Musab al-Hamidi, said that no material evidence could be based on by the Kurdish militia in detaining and accusing the youngster (Mo’ayyad Musa al-Kallah) of the explosion.
In an interview with Baladi News, the speaker wondered, “What if the wounded person had been a Kurdish boy? Would he have been detained by Ashayes?” , indicating that such incidents happen frequently in the areas controlled by the Kurdish militias, but the cases are always closed, because the culprits are most of the time related to the Democratic Union’s party. This happened before when Arta FM radio building was burned last April.
On the other hand, activist Siraj al-Haskawi, correlated the accusation of an Arab youngster to declaration by the Democratic Union’s party that it would organize a census in its areas north of Syria after expelling a large number of people. The speaker said that the party wants to get rid of the Arab clans by falsely accusing their members of terrorist incidents.
The activist indicated that the Democratic Union Party seeks to destabilize the demographic balance in the area and cause cracks in the society in order to impose a new reality that the areas are constituted by a Kurdish majority.
It is noteworthy that al-Qamishli, which is mutually held by the Syrian regime and the Democratic Union Party, witnessed an intense truck bomb explosion on Wednesday. The explosion that was carried out by ISIS against a complex of security centers in the western district of the city, caused casualties among civilians and Kurdish militants.
