Commanders in the Syrian armed opposition believe that fully tightening the siege on the city of Aleppo by the Syrian regime and Iranian militias is none but a preliminary step to be followed by many others on the way of exterminating the revolution in several areas in the northern part of Syria, on top of which Aleppo.
Many of the military personnel and field commanders attribute their analysis to the mechanism that Iran and the Syrian regime have been following in besieging and annihilating the liberated areas for years, in multiple scenarios that preceded the siege of Aleppo, along with the determination of the revolutionary factions to not learn from such scenarios or developing their techniques to confront them.
The Siege
It seems that the besieged forces will seek to advance into the liberated neighborhoods from several fronts in order to narrow the liberated area and dismembering it, so as to facilitate confronting any attempt of breaking the siege from the outside, according to a field commander.
"Syrian regime and its militias' endeavors to tighten the siege on the besieged city confirm launching several battles at the same time on many fronts starting from Jamiate al-Zahraa, al-Learamoun, and al-Castello towards the east and the liberated areas in al-Nayrab, pointing out that supporting the Kurdish militias in this campaign through moving in the region and controlling of the youth housing on the outskirts of al-Sheikh Maksoud on Wednesday morning, the commander added.
He also stressed that "the eastern neighborhoods of the city of Aleppo are on the verge of a similar siege, or perhaps much worse than what al-Zabadani, Madaya and Homs have witnessed earlier, especially that the population density is several times double compared to its previous ones".
The Southern Countryside Next
With the growing expectations about the possibility of "Jaish al-Fatah's" involvement in the battel of breaking the siege of Aleppo, much military personnel on the ground doubted the possibility of this action, noting to the continuous Iranian mobilization in the Southern countryside as a second step in tightening the siege on the city and consequently opening a front to prevent Jaish al-Fatah from breaking the siege on Aleppo.
The Syrian journalist, Ali Ibrahim, sees that the coming scenarios concerning the siege on the city of Aleppo are open to all possibilities, especially that they are attack and retreat battles, unless the factions failed to rescue it by igniting the fronts from the south of Syria to its north.
Regarding the likelihood of the Iranian militias attack on the south of Aleppo to prevent "Jaish al-Fatah" from aiding the liberated neighborhoods, the journalist stresses that the attack is a possibility, especially that many leaks talked about Iranian troops in the region since the calmness of the front, after the losses of Hezbollah and the advancement of Jiash al-Fatah in the southern countryside, except for the distance between north and south of Aleppo, pointing out that the leader of the Lebanese militia talked publicly about it in his latest speech as being the "grand battel".
The Syrian journalist warned of simultaneous attacks that will be launched by the Syrian regime and Iranian militias on the northern part of Syria, starting from the Syrian coast, Idlib and the southern countryside of Aleppo, concurrently with the ongoing battels north of Aleppo, confirming that there is no solution for Aleppo's siege, but by military escalation in the mentioned areas, in anticipation for what's being prepared for Aleppo, then Idlib to break the siege on Kafrya, al-Fu'ah and others.
It's noteworthy that media reports, some of which were published in the western newspapers, have warned of a humanitarian disaster threatening more than 300 thousand civilians in the besieged neighborhoods, and confirmed that the food supplies are running out quickly and won't be enough for a month at maximum limits.
