Regime forces supported by foreign militias managed to fully tighten their control on al-Castello road on Tuesday, which is the only land access into the city of Aleppo, after advancing towards many areas on the opposite side of the road and being able to seize control of them completely.
In details, regime forces backed by members of the Iranian, Palestinian, and Afghani militias have launched a massive attack which targeted several areas on the opposite side of the regions under their control on the road of al-Castello where violent clashes took place in the region, in which the regime forces controlled al-Castello resort and Markitna Mall, then advanced towards al-Lirmoun bus station and fully controlled the two sides of the road while the rebels retreated due to the heavy shelling.
By the regime forces and their allied militias' full control over the road of al-Castello, the liberated neighborhoods in the eastern parts of the city of Aleppo, which include 400 thousand civilians, have become fully besieged by regime forces and "SDF" militias amid the continuing of the aerial bombardment on these neighborhoods and the committing of massacres against the unarmed civilians, the last of which was in al-Mashhad neighborhood which claimed the lives of more than 30 civilians and dozens of casualties.
The rebels' factions had tried to regain control of al-Castello road after the advancement of regime forces into it, but they were unable to achieve any progress due to the intense aerial and missile bombardment which the area has been subjected to by the Russian and Syrian warplanes and helicopters, in addition to the factions' disagreement on a common mechanism in leading the command along with the scarcity of the available resources in the city compared with the large military capabilities regime forces and their allies have.
Due to the siege on the city of Aleppo and the continuing of the aerial bombardment on the neighborhoods of the city, al-Sha'ar neighborhood has witnessed a popular protest by dozens of civilians who called for breaking the siege on the city and the unification of the factions through heading to the fronts to open the road and save thousands of civilians in addition to demanding the participation of Jaish al-Fatah in re-controlling the road of al-Castello.
It's noteworthy that regime forces have managed to tighten their full control on the road of al-Castello and the strategic areas around it, which makes regaining control over it extremely difficult unless the revolutionary forces within and outside the city initiate a unified military action that compels regime forces to retreat from the region, otherwise the eastern neighborhoods of the city will become fully besieged and banned from the necessities of life.
