al-Assad has started examining the truth of what his supporters are always shouting (by soul or blood, we sacrifice our lives for you O Assad), in order to put them in a realistic confrontation that kills who remains in battlefields. On Saturday, Syrian regime's leadership issued a decision to "stimulate" those enrolled in it to continue their military service through "recruiting" them, according to what was confirmed by "Damascus Now", one of the semi-official media affiliated to Assad's intelligence services on Facebook.
The page mentioned that: "the General Command of the Armed Forces announced accepting the enlistment of the recruited officers, the reserves, and assistants to the reserve service as first lieutenants officers."
The page also indicated that the recruitment will be in favor of the fighting formations exclusively, with the majors of the Military College (the military course the officer goes through), so as the reserve service as the first reservist lieutenant will be calculated as a functioning service at recruitment provided that age does not exceed 30 years by 01/10/2016 and be physically fit for military service.
The page explained that "the officers of the administrations, institutions and other units in case their recruitment was accepted, they will be transferred to the fighting formations (divisions, brigades, regiments)."
Supporters revealed in their comments on the news that the aim behind such a decision is a new deception by the Syrian regime on those fighting alongside the regime forces under the name "recruited" and not under reservation, in order to exploit them as much as they can. One of the commenters, Milad Ismaiel, said that "the indirect aim of the decision is that (there is no demobilization right now). I expect that 90% of the reserves have become psychologically unfit and this is what we are seeing every day. This decision exploits the need of some soldiers and their circumstances.
Some others confirmed that this decision is to settle the rights of those injured while defending Bashar al-Assad so as not to benefit from the monthly salary they get while injured.
Commenters revealed that the decision conceals the regime's malicious intent which is getting rid of those who defended it at first, referring to the age condition by saying: " it's a demographic change of the army and an exclusion of the supporters because they have served first and didn't run. what's going on?!! What is the age condition?!".
Wael Muhammed, one of the defectors from al-Assad forces said: "this result is expected and we realized it from the very moments of the breakout of the revolution. It's only a step to invest those left to defend Bashar al-Assad and his ilk, stressing that al-Assad and due to the shortage his forces are suffering, will spare no one to die for his sake.
Al-Muhammed added: "those who are still in al-Assad forces will pay the price sooner or later and this decision is the largest proof on considering al-Assad's supporters and defenders a herd ready for slaughtering. Moreover, al-Assad won't leave any choice for them but dying for his sake and those who refuse have to know that they will end up in the branches of security services and detention centers under the accusation of betraying the commander.
It should be noted that the Syrian regime since the breakout of the Syrian revolution resorted to put each member in the army under reservation in order to defend his throne by preventing their demobilization. This decision is to invest them again as scapegoats to continue defending al-Assad and in the worst cases abandoning them after what they have sacrificed for his sake.
