The scene today doesn't seem to be very different from the near past, only the features of those who were panic-stricken children taken by the hands of Syrians welcoming and reassuring them. It doesn't seem also that the sky got rid of its evil people even if the names were different whether, Assad and Israel, or those who were children with their new sectarian features and a lot of the killing doctrine in their pocket.
The story tells that there were children who fled the bombardment of the Israeli warplanes since exactly 10 years, and passed through al-Zabadani and Madaya. Some of which headed to Al-Qusayr and others to Damascus and Aleppo, while most of them settled in Homs. Syrians said at that time: "Welcome our families, make yourselves at home".
The story tells us also that their queues were never stopped at the border gate. No one told them at that time for a guarantor or a visa or a quickly-set tent. The death of that day was not cruel as it's today, not differentiating among a child, woman or an old man even if the murderer was different. Syrians are pretty sure that death doesn't classify the souls according to creed, religion or a sect.
Today those people are trying to cross the same road, fleeing not the Israeli bombardment, as they have secured it and it was from the past and today it seems a friend more than an enemy. Three years ago, they came with their yellow flags and armed with everything except for "gratitude". They saved their missiles and bullets since that time and they fired most of them in Al-Qusayr to express their gratitude. They also crossed al-Zabadani and Madaya and still passing over the bodies of those who welcomed them in their sought-after way towards who bombarded and run away from him in 2006!.
Today that Syrian child hold the weapon to deter yesterday's refugees and today's invaders! Another was buried in a hurry in the same park they used to play together ten years ago. Another child is still dying out of hunger and siege, deprived of a bite of food he didn't hesitate to share at that time with those who are besieging him today!
Then, Hassan Nasrallah celebrates today his alleged "victory" against Israel in July's war in 2006, but with a renewing war in favor of Israel and not on the land of Palestine or south of Lebanon, as the sectarian compass says that the road to "Qom" is shorter through Syria than the southern suburb.
Only history mentions that in this day ten years ago Hezbollah's members were displaced and refugees in Syria. A million of Lebanese people didn't need a tent nor even anyone of them was subjected to any harm. Only the hearts of Syrians welcomed and contained them as their hometown. It's not a favor, but only a reminder and introduction to their history and our history.
