Civilian Casualties by Syrian Regime and International Coalition Airstrikes on Al-Raqqa and Deir al-Zour

Both the Syrian regime and the international coalition war forces committed several massacres on Tuesday against a number of civilians in Deir al-Zour and al-Raqqa governorates.

In Deir al-Zour, the Syrian regime war forces conducted an airstrike on Al Bu Omar village on Tuesday, killing a man and woman and wounding another man whose leg was blown off.

On the same day, other airstrikes were carried out by the regime war planes on the districts of al-Sinaa and al-Knamat, causing formidable destruction to the buildings.

On the other hand, activists reported the killing of three civilians in a refugee camp at the Syrian-Jordanian borders due to a massacre of the Syrian regime war forces. The victims, as well as most of the refugees in the camp, hail from Deir al-Zour governorate.

In the same context, al-Raqqa city witnessed a massacre against five civilians from one family. The victims, including four children as well as their mother, also belong to Deir al-Zour governorate. Meanwhile, a woman and her son were killed in al-Badou neighborhood as a result of airstrikes by the International Coalition forces on Tuesday early morning.

Al-Tharda mountain area in the environs of Deir al-Zour military airport witnessed fierce clashes between ISIS and the regime forces. The regime troops, supported by the Russian air forces as well as Shiite militias, could retake some spots in the mountain that had been controlled by ISIS, whereas dozens from both sides were killed.
