New Syrian Government: Most Prominent Arrivals and Departures

Yasser Al-Atrash, Baladi News

The new formation of the Syrian government was announced on Sunday without any surprises as there are no place for any external or internal opposition.

The main ministers retained their portfolios as their destiny is not in the hand of al-Assad, but actually appointed by the countries and governing bodies, while the government included 14 new ministers.

Al-Assad has assigned on June 22  to the electricity minister, Imad Khamis, in the caretaker government forming the new government succeeding Wael Al-Halaki whose destiny is still vague and no one knows if he's going to hold a new position or was abandoned after his dirty missions.

One of the most missing prominent faces is the minister of Information in the previous government Omran Al-Zouabi who was the towering figure in the government and the most heinous and shameless faces in justifying the criminality and calling for it in addition to tempting the strangers and thugs into the innocent Syrian bloods who ended up murdered or dissented after realizing the truth.

The new government includes 26 ministers, including 14 new ministers, including the Information Minister Muhammed Ramiz Turjuman, who was serving as Director General of radio and television. Furthermore, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Walid al-Moualem remained in his position as well as the Defense Minister Fahed al-Freij. The Ministers of Interior, Justice, Endowments, Presidential Affairs were not changed too.

Among the most murderous faces in the new government, the new Minister of Higher Education Atef al-Naddaf, who was a governor in several provinces before recently becoming Al-Suwayda governor, who is known for his criminality, intriguing, funding and supporting the work of thugs in addition to his eagerness in contriving conspiracies and sectarian sedition in order to disperse the people of the country and breaking up their loyalty. He belongs to Christian Lebanese bodies which supported his appointment and he is also known for being a gambling addict.

The new Minister of Economy Adeib Mayalih is also one of the prominent names in the new government, who was the governor of the Central Bank of Syria and was convicted of  international bribery issues. He was the main responsible by the government and  its supporters for the deterioration of the Syrian pound exchange rate after the revolution.

Remarkably enough was annexing the Ministry of Culture to the "Generous Sect" feudalism which was headed by an Alawite minister succeeding another Alawite minister, Essam Khalil, in a precedent of the history of the ministry.
