Syrian regime has started reinforcing its military forces in the town of  Dier Maker in the western countryside of Damascus, which is adjacent to what is known as "Triangle of Death" in the northern countryside of Daraa.

A field source preferred to remain anonymous reported that tanks and troop carriers in addition to hundreds of regime forces' members arrived in the town of Dier Maker coming from their fronts against the rebels in the countryside of Daraa.

Syrian regime intended to consolidate its military presence in the region during the last 3 months, pointing out that more than 5000 members of the regime forces are now at the outskirts of the Triangle of Death, including high-ranking officers in addition to Russian experts leading them, according to the same source.

The source also explained that the preoccupation of the rebels in the war against "ISIS" in the recent months along with the calmness of the fronts between the rebels and regime forces have pushed the latter the transfer a huge number of its equipment and military material in addition to whole military units to the outskirts of the Triangle of Death in order to carry out a military action against the rebels.

The regime had lost the region of Triangle of Death in the northern countryside of Daraa in mid-2013 in a battel called by the rebels "The Road to Damascus". The region includes the hills and towns of (Kafrnasij, Al-Taiha, Mashara, Al-Mal, Tel Al-Harah, and Antar) and is characterized by its strategic location among the three governorates: (Daraa, Qunaitira, and Damascus countryside).
