Regime warplanes committed a massacre in the city of Jayrud in Damascus countryside on Saturday which claimed the lives of 25 civilians, including 3 of the medical cadre working in the city and wounded many others.
The activist Rida, director of the "Facebook Jayrud Channel" page on Facebook said that one of the airstrikes deliberately targeted an ambulance that was transferring the wounded to the medical center which led to the death of the doctor Amjad Nadaf, his assistant and one of the paramedics.
Rida added in his statements to Baladi News that regime forces had closed Al-Mahata checkpoint against the people, knowing that it's the only exit for the residents outside the city, indicating also that regime forces opened fire against the civilians' cars who were heading towards the checkpoint.
Regime warplanes had launched more than 30 airstrikes on the city of Jayrud in the eastern Qalamoun during a revenge campaign carried out by the regime after one day of downing a warplane in the region by the rebels.
