The Syrian regime air forces perpetrated a shocking massacre on Thursday in Otaya of Damascus countryside, killing 15 civilians and wounding others, including women and children. Four other civilians died in Duma in mortar and heavy artillery shelling by the regime forces, which was synchronized with continued clashes between the regime forces and the rebels on the front of Joubar in the eastern part of Damascus. The environs of Jisreen in the eastern Ghouta also witnessed clashes in attempt by the regime to advance and grab vast areas.
The regime forces tried to storm Darayya city in the south western part of Damascus city under the cover of heavy artillery and missile shelling from the mountains of the 4th Division as well as helicopters that dropped 42 barrel bombs. However, the rebels thwarted this attempt destroying a Shilka tank and killing a number of regime soldiers.
In Aleppo city, two children were killed and their mother was seriously injured due to a GGM missile fired by the regime forces at their house in al-Maghayer neighborhood. Several neighborhoods in the city underwent intensive airstrikes, including al-Haydariyya, al-Halak, al-Sheikh Saeed, Masakin Hanano, and al-Sukkari, which caused heavy damages to the residential buildings.
In the western countryside, a man and his daughter were killed in Russian war planes shelling on Atarib city, whereas Darat Azza, Yaqed, al-Adas were shelled with Russian cluster bombs.
In the northern countryside, the Syrian regime forces positioned on Tallat al-Sheikh Yousef hill fired missiles and heavy artillery shells on the towns of Anadan, Haritan, Hayyan, Kafr Hamra, and Castello Road.
In the eastern countryside, international coalition war planes bombarded al-Miqdad mosque and the religious school in the western part of Manbij city.
Militarily, intense clashes broke out between the regime forces and the rebels in al-Mallah area in Aleppo northern countryside when the regime forces were trying to advance and regain the points that it had lost two days earlier, but the attempts failed.
In Idlib, a child was killed, and several civilians were injured in airstrikes by the regime forces on Maar Tamater located in the southern countryside on Thursday morning. The regime war planes also targeted the environs of Maarrat Misrin and Killi in the northern countryside, which caused several injuries among civilians, including women and children, as well as big damages to residents’ houses.
A suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt blew himself in front of the executive force building in Idlib city, which killed three civilians and wounded 10 militants from Al-Nusra Front according to the executive force.
In the western governorate of lattakia, war planes and helicopters carried out several air strikes on the area around Kabina, al-Haddada, Nahshaba villages in Kurds Mountain. On the other hand, attacks and retreats of al-Yarmouk battle continued between the rebels and the regime forces under heavy artillery cover by the regime. The rebels destroyed a tank in the vicinity of Kinsabba village and attacked the villages of al-Hamrat and Ard al-Wata with heavy artillery and tank bombs.
In the middle of the country, the Syrian regime air fighters bombarded the city of Kafr Zita, meanwhile Murak underwent artillery shelling from the regime points in the city of Soran. The regime militias in the allied village of Maan targeted the villages of Atshan, Om Hartain, and Qasr Ali in the eastern countryside, meanwhile the artillery as well as Zour al-Sous brigade positioned up the scientific research department mountain targeted al-Sathiyyat area.
In Homs governorate, dozens of the regime soldiers were killed in clashes against ISIS organization in the vicinity of Talila Reserve east from Palmyra city. The attack was started when ISIS blew a bomb car followed by a storm on the area by the militants, which resulted in grabbing 7 of the Syrian regime checkpoints and capturing various ammunitions and weapons by ISIS.
Moving to Daraa, the regime forces targeted the towns of Kafr Nasij and al-Mal in the death triangle located in the northern countryside with heavy artillery, but no casualties were reported, meanwhile the Syrian regime air forces fired several missiles at the plains surrounding the city of Nawa in the western countryside. In addition, al-Naima town as well as al-Sawame’ area east from Daraa underwent mortar bombardment by the regime forces in the city.
In al-Sweida, Syrian regime war planes conducted an airstrike on Beer Al-Rusaie in the desert, causing no injuries.
