Baladi News – Deir al-Zour (Omar al-Hassan)
70 deaths of civilians resulted after al-Quriyah town in Deir al-Zour governorate in the east of Syria undergone vacuum missile and cluster bomb shelling by the Syrian regime air forces on Saturday.
A local source emphasized for Baladi News that the body parts of many victims are still under the rubble, indicating that whole families, mostly women and children, perished in this massacre. The massacre, which is considered one of the gravest in Deir al-Zour, resulted from conducting 5 consecutive airstrikes against al-Iman mosque as well as a fuel station in the center of the town.
Under the pretext of targeting ISIS, the regime war forces intensified their bombardments on several areas in Deir al-Zour, committing several massacres over the past month against civilians, including the massacres of al-Bolel, Diban, Jadeed Ekedat, and others all around the countryside of Deir al-Zour.
