Russian Air Forces Massacres in Aleppo Continue and the Rebels Advance toward al-Rai

The Russian and Syrian regime war planes and helicopters continued their bombardments against areas in Aleppo city and countryside, killing 7 civilians and wounding others on Thursday.

Four of the victims, including a child, were killed in Russian missiles air strikes against al-Qatirji neighborhood. The number is likely to increase as civil defence teams are still searching under the rubbles of the destroyed buildings.

Other neighborhoods in the city of Aleppo were bombarded by Russian war planes, including al-Myassar and al-Sakhour, which only caused material damages.

Three other civilians were killed in the northern countryside when the Russian air forces dropped banned cluster bombs on the towns of Haritan and Hayyan, meanwhile another civilian was killed in cluster bombs shelling in Anadan. Concurrently, Kafr Hamra town was shelled with cluster and phosphorous bombs, and two barrel bombs were dropped on al-Mallah area north from Aleppo, causing formidable wreckage

In the west, phosphorous and cluster bombs were dropped on Zahrat Al Madaen, al-Andalus, al-Manoura, and Urm Al Kubra too.

On the other hand, fierce clashes broke out between the rebels and the Islamic State organization in al-Rai town north from Aleppo. Hours after the rebels could gain control over the town, the organization detonated a car bomb, killing a number of rebels, which forced them to retreat, whereas clashes continue in the area.

In Aleppo eastern countryside, clashes took place between the Islamic State and Syria’s Democratic Forces. The latter could take “Dawwar al-Kitab” areas at the western entrance of Manbij city.

In the southern countryside, Syrian regime and Russian air forces dropped cluster bombs on the areas of al-Mohandeseen, al-Hmeira, Khan Touman, Khalsa, Zitan, and Barna, meanwhile the rebels destroyed a regime’s bulldozer on al-Sabiqiyya front.

Moving to Lattakia in the west, the regime air forces fired missiles at the environs of Kbina village in Kurd Mountains, which was synchronized with artillery and missiles shelling against Kurd and Turkmen mountains. Meanwhile, the rebels destroyed a car transporting a number of the regime militants, which caused casualties among them.

In Hama, the regime air forces launched three airstrikes with missiles and cluster bombs on Tel al-Halawa in Hama eastern countryside, which wounded 7 civilians including critical cases. Al-Ankawi town in al-Ghab Plain was subject to missile airstrikes on Thursday evening, but no casualties were reported.

In Damascus countryside, a number of civilians were wounded in Duma because of artillery and mortar shelling by the regime forces near the city. At the same time, air strikes were conducted against the towns of Bayt Nayem, Hazarma, al-Bahariyya, and al-Mayda’ani, causing injuries among civilians as well as huge material losses in residential buildings and properties.

In addition, clashes continued on the front of Jisreen as the regime forces were trying to advance under heavy missile and artillery shelling cover.

In the western countryside, Syrian regime helicopters dropped barrel bombs on Darayya, synchronized with artillery and missile bombardments, after the rebels shot a regime soldier dead and wounded others on the south western front of the city.

In al-Sweida, a number of civilians staged a silent sit in protest against expensive prices amid daily calls for sits-in and demonstrations after raising fuel and gas prices.
