1300 Poisoning Cases in Kanaker of Damascus Countryside

Over 1300 of Kanaker town residents in Damascus countryside were poisoned due to the consumption of bacteria-contaminated materials. Ten of the poisoned people are in critical condition and need continued monitoring by doctors as well as regular doses of medicines at the medical center of the town.

The coordination committee of the city attributed the cases to drinking polluted water, but medical sources told Baladi News that the reasons are unknown yet, indicating that medical teams are trying to investigate the reasons before the appearance of additional cases in the blockaded town by the regime forces and its supporting militias.

The doctors took samples of water, food, and vegetables in the town in order to diagnose the reasons of the cases and avoid their propagation before it is too late.

In turn, Kanaker town coordination committee said that the regime allowed the entry of medical doses enough for1000 cases, meanwhile 300 others are still waiting to receive treatment.
