A member of the Kurdish Democratic Union Party, known as PYD in the Kurdish language, said from Afrin that the Syrian regime sent public transportation buses to a training center of PYD in order to conscript Kurdish males who were recently detained. The young men would be taken to al-Sheikh Maqsood and other fronts in Aleppo to fight for the Assad’s army under the supervision of Syrian and Russian officers”.
According to Rojava News website, “Over 45 days, PYD party militants arrested more than 400 young men, including minors, in the Kurdish areas controlled by the party in the north of Syria in order to conscript them.”
The website added that other 300 young men were also arrested by PYD militants in Afrin city and countryside north from Aleppo, particularly from Jandairis and Sharran, after storming citizens’ houses.
Sources from PYD said that “the intensive campaign is still underway in all cities and town held by the party”
