Director of the Russian-Syrian village for exports and imports in Syrian government declared in a statement two days ago that they signed a contract with three Syrian freighters that will transfer vegetables, fruit and locally produced goods to the ports of Moscow through the Syrian coast which is now almost under the Russian control.
Khaldoun Al-Ahmad, director of the Russian village for exports and imports said in a statement to al-Watan pro-regime newspaper that the three freighters arrived at Lattakia Port in order to transfer the goods, vegetables and fruit from Syria to Russia. He also noted that the export village has contracted with a Russian company to provide Syria with three freighters to transfer the Syrian goods through the green corridor to Novorossiysk port in Russia.
"These freighters will transfer the goods through carrying refrigerating trucks within warehouses instead of containers, taking into account the last failure of shipment though containers due to many problems happened during the shipping process", Al-Ahmad added.
He also pointed out that the freighter can carry 50 refrigerating trucks in addition to the warehouse inside them that can be loaded with other goods.
al-Assad supporters immediately commented on the statements by the regime's official with regard to exporting vegetables to Russia in spite of all the hardships they’re facing every day to buy them; they said “we demand Mr. Khaldoun Al-Ahmad to provide us with 3 hours visas to Moscow in order to go and buy what we need then come back to Syria”.
Pro-regime sources said: “Considering that we became so intimate with Moscow, we ask Mr. president to provide us with a "Visa for Buying vegetables" and a "Red visa for buying fruit" from Russia, through which we can go and buy our basic needs of vegetables and fruit as our country has become much more expensive than Britain and all the potatoes are going to Russia before entering out kitchens”.
Tha’er Jourieh, one of al-Assad supporters commented on the governmental decision by saying:“Mr. President, don't we have the right, being the sons of your sect, to get all what we need of vegetables before exporting them to Russia. Exporting law says that you can export when you have a surplus of a substance of a particular product from the local consumption, and not when there is a scarcity and rise of goods, whether vegetables of others”.
“They are simply telling us that they will export our food and they know for sure that the prices are going to double afterwards. We all know that Russia is supporting us with weapons and that’s not for free, but can’t they find other ways! Is it fair to deprive us from our food!
