Militias of Syrian Democratic Forces "SDF" seized control over the villages of "Faras Kabier and Khourbate Al-Masi", on Sunday, which are located on the outskirts of the city of Manbij in the eastern countryside of Aleppo following clashes between ISIS on one hand and SDF with the help of coalition air force on the other.
The importance of seizing control of the two villages is due to their location which is close to the road connecting Manbij and Al-Raqqah in addition to cutting the direct supplying road of ISIS between Al-Raqqah and Manbij using fires by SDF.
SDF militias are trying to advance and take control of all the villages and towns surrounding the city of Manbij in order to besiege ISIS within the city and force it to withdraw towards Al-Raqqah through the city of Al-Bab.
It's noteworthy that SDF militias seized control over 39 villages during the past two weeks which were under the control of ISIS following fierce battles in some villages and a series of withdrawals from some others.
