Hussam Muhammed, Baladi News, Tartus
A military source leaked some information to Baladi News that the Russian Defense Ministry has sent a ground force to the Syrian coast this week, and the source talked about an indefinite number of soldiers sent by Moscow (with as estimate of several hundreds of soldiers).
The Syrian 4th Armored Division and the Russian Intelligence took up the reins of securing those soldiers along with providing any service to them, according to the source. He also pointed out that Russian volunteers are within the members arrived at the airbases of Tartus and Humaimam.
The source expected that these forces will wage a massive military operation in the southern countryside of Aleppo, especially on the town of Khan Tuman, where Iranian forces and its allied militias suffered heavy losses causing a terrifying setback. The aim of this battle is to restore the reverence of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards as well as Hezbollah after what they have suffered in the town by Jaish Al-Fatah (Army of Conquest), added the source.
The military source believe that Geneva negotiations were only a period of "convalescence" to the Russian and regime forces, pointing out that Russia does not count on the negotiations categorically, but its preoccupation is the military field according to the recent developments. Moreover, Russia's pursuit of sending troops to Syria comes after the failure of regime forces and Iranian militias in their missions as well as the heavy losses they suffered. It seems that Russia is forced to send more troops to confront the rebels who will repel any attack launched by Shiite militias and regime forces on Aleppo.
