Iran Admits its Involvement in Many Crises in the Region

Updates, Baladi News

Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, chairman of the Expediency Discernment Council of Iran said: "Iran has involved in many crises in the region, starting from Iraq, Syria, Lebanon reaching Afghanistan, claiming at the same time that their aim is to defend national interests."

"Arab and Islamic countries are standing together against Iran in Syria and they want to seize control over everything in Iraq, acknowledging that Iran is facing many problems in the region that need to be resolved and settled", he added.

The chairman also pointed out that: "Iran is facing major challenges on the internal level due to the political differences, unemployment and high prices. Moreover, there are profound disagreements in the Iranian authority as some officials are deceiving the public opinion."

It seems that Iran's latest intervention in Syria had led to many problems, though it's still determined to support its military presence in Syria by sending militias to support the Syrian regime and take the lead in several military fronts after the collapse of regime forces.

It's noteworthy that dozens of Iranian militias are fighting alongside the Syrian regime on more than one military front, perhaps the most important of which is the city of Aleppo and its countryside which is being subjected to a fierce military campaign.
