One Military Operations Room Manages War against Syrians

Baladi News – Yasser Al-atrash

Things started to become more and more apparent, and the new map of Syria has already been drawn. What remains is forcing it on the ground through military power.

A few days after the declaration of Al-Raqqa liberation battle, a lot of facts were revealed. The multilateral battle, which seems to have a mutual goal, is being managed by close coordination among the different players including the International Coalition Forces. Americans, Russians, the Kurdish People's Protection Units, Syrian Democratic Forces, and many Arab clans that are involved in drawing the new Syrian borders in execution of a political agreement that has seemingly been signed. Meanwhile, Syrians are busy mourning their dead loved ones, watching sea weather forecasts and wave heights, calculating aid in refuge countries, and most importantly, searching for a faithful ally along with Turkey that has been burdened with refugees and trying to deal with the attempts of destabilizing internal security.

A lot of successive and accelerating signs indicate that the new Syrian borders have been designed. These signs include the statements of Salih Muslim, chairman of the Kurdish Democratic Union Party, about the imminent battle of Al-Raqqa to add the governorate to the Kurdish federation in the north. The Kurdish militias were formally charged by the Americans with waging this battle after the US Department of State announced that the Kurdish People's Protection Units are not a terrorist organization, that they have nothing to do with the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party, and that they will continue supporting them. Moreover, these militias were joined by American soldiers in Kurdish uniforms, whereas ISIS has been activated in the north to isolate the moderate opposition and destabilize the Turkish security. All these signs indicate that “useful” Syria is being partitioned among the players on the ground, whereas the share of the moderate opposition will be limited to some parts of the desert.

On the other hand, Russia, the sectarian militias, and the remnants of Assad’s forces will manage the battles of the remaining areas except Idlib, which independence will be subject to the continued support from Turkey, which could be interrupted in coordination with ISIS.

In light of these events, the UN, represented by its special envoy, Staffan de Mistura, is seeking to reproduce Assad’s regime.
