Aleppo city and countryside witnessed a very bloody day on Friday, with 34 people killed by the Syrian regime forces backed by the Russian forces according to the head of the Civil Defence Office in Aleppo, Ibrahim Al-haj.
Al-haj clarified that 125 raids by helicopters were conducted in the governorate, dropping 55 barrel bombs in addition to cluster and vacuum bombs. War planes carried out other 15 air strikes on Aleppo city, dropping highly-explosive naval mines.
These attacks targeted civilian-inhabited areas in Haritan, Kafr Hamra, Anadan, and Hayyan towns in the northern countryside as well as Urum al-Kubra in the western countryside, meanwhile Al-bab neighborhoods was shelled in Aleppo city. As usual, civil defence team rushed to the targeted areas to rescue the wounded, pick up the dead, and help people trapped under rubble.
On the other hand, ISIS shot 11 people dead while the organization was attempting to gain control over Kaljibrin village south to Azaz in Aleppo northern countryside, whereas ISIS militants were driven out of some points that they had taken earlier, including the villages of Sandaf, Tatia, and Niara.
Media activist, Mohammed Bakkar, was shot dead by ISIS while covering the clashes between the rebels and ISIS north from Aleppo when he was trying to help a displaced family, meanwhile a ceasefire was enforced between the rebels and the Kurdish People's Protection Units for humanitarian purposes.
In Idlib, a number of civilian victims resulted from the detonation of a bomb car in front of Shuaib mosque in the city, whereas the Russian and Syrian regime war planes targeted the areas of Kafroma, Kafr Oweid, Ariha, Sarmin, Maataram and Kafr Najd.
In Damascus eastern countryside, two civilians were killed and others were wounded after being shot at by the regime forces on the area, meanwhile Al-Nashabiyah and Al-Bahariyah were targeted by the regime artillery.
In Damascus western countryside, a child was killed and other civilians were killed in regime shelling, meanwhile clashes continued between the rebels and the regime forces. The western front of Darayya was hit with mortar shells, whereas two vegetables loaded trucks were allowed to enter Muadamiyat al-Sham by the 4th armored division as a goodwill gesture to enforce a truce in the city, while the people of Madaya protested to demand the UN to enter baby milk to the city.
In Hama countryside, two civilians were killed and others were wounded in regime artillery shelling and air strikes on Al-Lataminah in the north, whereas other areas were also attacked including Kafr Zita, Husrayam, Al Zakat, Al-arbaeen in the same area. In the south, the recently held villages of Talaf and Al-zara were targeted by the regime air forces and artillery, meanwhile shelling hit Al-Sathiyat area west from Al-Salamiyah.
The rebels responded by shelling Hama military airport and the Shabiha positions in Mahardah thermal power plant, which caused fires in the fuel tanks.
