Syrian Regime Imposes Stringent Security Cordon in Latakia

Pro-regime accounts affiliated to the National Defense Militias in Al- Qardaha and the rest of Latakia reassured people of Latakia that the city is safe against any "terrorist" attacks by ISIS as what happened in the cities of Jablah and Tartus a few days ago.

Regime loyal sources reported that the National Defense Militias and what they call "allies" have formed a security cordon around the civilians' gathering points and important centers in order to prevent any attempt of bombing by "Takfirists", as well as avenging the axis of resistance and deterrence.

The sources pointed out that the regime's security and military authorities in the coastal province of Latakia have taken strict measures in the various neighborhoods and main streets of the city in light of concerns and expectations of a security breach or a bombing to be executed in the city which wasn't affected by the blasts that hit the coastal cities of Jablah and Tartus.

Meanwhile, pro-regime supporters confirmed seeing many "mobile" checkpoints in several main streets where strict checks are applied on cars and private handbags in the cars in addition to the spread of counter-terrorism units with highly sophisticated devices to detect explosive materials.

Recourses indicate that security forces carried out many raids on what they described as "suspected cells" that might have information about planning for explosive operations.

7 bombings by ISIS had hit the cities of Jablah and Tartus on the Syrian coast last Monday which led to the death of more than 140 people and wounding dozens, while the Syrian regime estimated the financial losses of the bombings with more than 300 million SYP.
