Many civilian casualties were reported after Assad regime’s warplanes dropped forty two barrel bombs in thirty four air strikes which were conducted today on the town of Deir Khabiya and Zakia in Damascus western countryside, Orient News correspondent Mohammad Abdulrahman said.
Assad terrorists are trying by hook and crook to recapture Deir Khabiya from opposition fighters, because the town has strategic importance; it is considered Assad terrorists’ main supply route to the Seventh Division, Assad regime’s main military base in Damascus western countryside.
Taking control over Deir Khabiya would give opposition fighters in Darayya and al-Muadamiya the momentum and the upper hand, and it would also increase the square kilometres under their control, Orient News correspondent said.
It is worthy to note that Assad brutal bombardment on Deir al-Khabiya came a day after opposition fighters’ Ahrar al-Sham and al-Nusra Front took control over the town killing tens of Assad terrorists and captivating 8 of the Assad Popular Committees’ terrorists.
