Baladi News – Lattakia (Abu Ammar Al-ladqani)
After the death of 140 people in the series of explosions that hit the coastal cities of Jableh and Tartous last Monday, for which ISIS claimed responsibility, unidentified cars took a number of bodies to the cemeteries of Lattakia and secretly buried them, according to locals.
Abu Obada, an eye witness who was in the area, said that “wrangling broke out when families of casualties accused security forces as well as doctors from the military hospital of stealing and trading the organs of the dead bodies of their relatives”
The speaker added, “This is not the first time we hear such a story; 5 bodies of casualties were missing in the military hospital before.”
He also indicated that a number of cars, loaded with caskets and anonymous dead bodies, headed towards the cemetery in the absence of any mourners.
“Mahmoud”, a doctor from the area, told Baladi News that regime forces took dead bodies and sold their organs, indicating that such a procedure is often limited to dead bodies of Sunni casualties in order to be used for organ transplantation into the bodies of Alawites, particularly commanders wounded in battles.
It is worth mentioning that a patriarch from Tartous city offered to pay for the treatment of the wounded, and president of the regime issued a resolution to compensate all families affected by the bombings.
