Mahmoud Adel Badinjki, one of the members of Cordoba workgroup has revealed the reason behind the bias of "BBC" Arabic channel towards the Syrian regime. He said: "Two weeks ago, I wrote an article about a figure from Aleppo and I think it could be one of the reasons behind the channel's bias in its news in favor of the Syrian regime. I took my time before declaring the name till I guaranteed that the figure is still doing his job".
He added: "The figure is the media doctor "Ammar Mahmoud Akkam", the son of the Grand Mufti of Aleppo and the editor-in-chief in the Arabic section", pointing out that he is still in his position.
Badinjki pointed out that there is an Iranian journalist called "Behrouz Afak" who is currently the head of the Arabic section in the channel and could be one of the channel's bias towards the Syrian regime.
Abdul Rahman Salah Al-Deen, the Lebanese journalist said in an interview with Baladi News: "It's quite obvious for us as observers that "BBC" Arabic is standing up for the Syrian regime although they are trying to cover up by being objective, but such bias is clearly shown in their focusing on the violations committed by the opposition or allegations of violations by them paying no heed to the crimes and massacres committed by the Syrian regime".
