New Paramedics Graduated in Daraa

Baladi News – Daraa Countryside (Huzaifa Halawa)

The Organization of Relief, Evacuation and Development based in Daraa declared that a new groups of trainees on methods of relief and rescue graduated in Muzayrib town in the western countryside of Daraa last Sunday. The organization had also held similar training sessions in different parts of Daraa governorate, including Al-Jiza and Jasim.

“Since the establishment of our organization, about 150 paramedics have graduated in our first 4 sessions. The paramedics, included males and females of various ages and professions, underwent very intensive training on first aid as well as CPR for drowning victims”, said Khaled Al Masalma, one of the trainers.

The speaker added, “Our aim in this session is to have a paramedic in each house. We do not intend to attract people of high qualifications, but to raise health and emergency awareness among community members in Hauran area. Our goal is to reduce the number of injuries that end up with death as a result of lacking experience of dealing with emergency cases.”

“We were authorized to work within Daraa by the Free Health Department in the governorate. It is noteworthy that the previous session, which took place in the city of Daraa, achieved great success thanks to the good performance and cooperation between the trainers and the trainees.”, Al Masalma concluded.
