One civilian was killed and others were injured today after several air strikes by the regime forces targeted residential areas in the town of Talbiseh in Homs northern countryside. Simultaneously, the town was also hit by the regime heavy artillery, which caused formidable destruction.
"We woke up to the sounds of fierce clashes on the southern front of Talbiseh. Shortly afterwards, the regime forces began shelling the town with artillery and missiles. Despite being sporadic now, the bombardment has not stopped yet, which caused several casualties among civilians," said Ayman, a young man from Talbiseh.
In the same context, several barrel bombs were dropped on Gharnata village by the regime helicopters, whereas the village of Zaafarana underwent missile shelling by the "Engineering battalion" positioned in Al-misherfa village.
This Military escalation by Assad's regime against the cities and towns of Homs northern countryside comes after the rebels have taken control over Al-Zara village in Hama southern countryside.
