Four civilians were killed on Wednesday by a Russian air raid which targeted the village of Al-Shihel in the eastern countryside of Deir Al-Zor. Russian warplanes launched more than 20 airstrikes that targeted the central park and the industrial neighborhood of Deir Al-Zor along with the villages of Al-Khritiah, Ayyach and Murabit in the countryside of the city with no information about the aftermath of the raids.
Russian warplanes stepped up their aerial bombardment on Deir Al-Zor and its countryside since Tuesday by bombing the villages and Al-Zoughair and Al-Kharita in the countryside of the city resulting in injuries, including children.
The neighborhoods of Deir Al-Zor, controlled by ISIS and the Syrian regime, are witnessing clashes between the two parties, where both of them used artillery shells and mortars in bombing the other's areas which resulted in martyrs and casualties among civilians.
