21 members of the regime forces were neutralized in retaliation for killing a Turkish soldier in the Syrian province of Idlib, Turkey's defense ministry announced Friday.
"Following the martyrdom of a soldier from our forces, 21 members of the Syrian regime's forces were neutralized by an armed drone, additionally, 2 launchers and 2 rocket launchers were destroyed," said a Defense Ministry statement quoted by the Turkish Anatolia news agency.
"Our martyr's blood has not been wasted, and we retaliated immediately," the statement said.
The Defense Ministry announced Thursday that 184 members of the regime forces had been neutralized within the last 24 hours of Operation Spring Shield in the northern province of Idlib.
Turkey and Russia agreed on Thursday night on a ceasefire in northern Syria starting from 00:00, Friday, 6 March, on the demarcation line that was established according to the de-escalation agreements, they also agreed on establishing a 6 km safe corridor to the north and south of the M4 road in Syria.
