The Syrian opposition factions backed by Turkish troops have killed more than 70 members of the regime forces and their supporting militias, and destroyed more than 10 military vehicles in the city of Saraqib, in Idlib's eastern countryside, a military source reported.
"Clashes are still going on in Saraqib after the advance of Assad and Iran militias in some neighborhoods, intense shelling by Russian warplanes," Naji al-Mustafa, the spokesperson of the National Front for Liberation told Baladi News.
Al-Mustafa confirmed that the opposition factions are still inside the city and clashed haven't ended, revealing that Assad regime forces and their supporting militias have suffered big losses in the city, where more than 10 vehicles were destroyed including rocket launchers and heavy machinery as well as personnel carriers.
He confirmed the death of more than 70 members of the regime forces and the injury of dozens of others.
The city of Saraqib has witnessed several military operations in the past few days where the opposition factions attacked Assad regime forces in attempts to recapture the city.
