Baladi News - Hama (Musab al-Ashqar)

Two children died and others were injured on Sunday due to unexploded bomb, the explosive remnants of shelling on Qalaat al-Madiq town in Hama western countryside.

“We received four children on Sunday evening, two of them were already dead, whereas the others were seriously wounded,” Abdul Rahman Mahmoud of the medical center in Qalaat al-Madiq said.

The center's spokesperson added, “After quick examination of the four cases, it turned out that the incident was caused by an explosion of a bomb of the remnants of the nearly daily shelling on the town by the regime checkpoints”.

When one of the children approached the bomb, it exploded and the fragments scattered penetrating the bodies of the poor kids.

It is noteworthy that more than 15 civilians in Hama countryside, mostly in Al Ghab Plain, have died over the last 8 months as a result of explosions of remnants of war.
