Two children died and another wounded on Saturday after stepping on a landmine in the village of Al-Takhat belonging to the town of Tell Brak in the countryside of Al-Hasakah.
"Two 12-year-old children were killed and another 6-year-old was wounded while herding the cattle on the outskirts of "Hagjag" river near Al-Takhat village", according to a local source.
He pointed out that the landmine is not primitive, so it's most likely left by People's Protection Units militia which withdrew from the region after advancing towards Al-Hawl and Al-Shaddadi towns.
In the same context, 3 children were seriously injured by a landmine on Friday which was left after the battles between ISIS and YPG in the village of Ameriyeh in the southern countryside of Ras al-Ayn.
It is noteworthy that 33 civilians, including 8 children and 4 women were killed during the past five months by explosive devices used by ISIS and "Syrian Democratic Forces" during the battles between them in order to prevent the advance of any party of them to the other's areas.
