Five civilians died and many other wounded as a preliminary result on Saturday due to the aerial bombardment by regime warplanes and helicopters using missiles and barrel bombs on the city of Al-Bab in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.
Yasser Abd Al-Latif, the media activist told Baladi News "Military aircrafts and helicopters bombarded Al-Bab city on Saturday morning and targeted the public park with several barrel bombs resulting in the death of 5 civilians and wounding dozens as an initial result". "There isn't any checkpoints or military headquarters affiliated to ISIS in the targeted area, nothing but a park, a square and a large number of shops. It's just an area for civilians to pass whether on foot or by cars", he added.
"We can consider it a massacre against civilians as we don't know the exact number of victims and because the targeted area is full of pedestrians. Moreover, it's difficult to document the actual number of victims due to ISIS intense control on activists' movements in its areas", the activist added.
