Baladi News – Aleppo (Ziad Al Halabi)
pro-Assad media continues to spread lies about the reality in Aleppo, claiming that 3 civilians were killed and more than 20 others were wounded last Friday due to the bombardment of what it called “Terrorist Group” against Al Malakhna Mosque in Bab Al-Faraj when worshipers were leaving.
However, the facts on the ground negate this due to several logical considerations, and it proves that Assad aims at using propaganda to export it to western media in order to falsify abuses, and cover up documented crimes against humanity committed by the Syrian government.
A member of the information center of Ahrar Al-Sham group, Abu Omar, in an interview with Baladi News, denied bombing the mosque and causing a massacre. He also clarified that “The mosque is at the front lines between rebels and regime forces, which makes it difficult to be reached or hold Friday prayer there!
“The image that the regime media used with its story is actually for an Armenian hospital located in front of the public park far away from Bab Al-Faraj” added the speaker, demonstrating that the mosque has a small door with no stairs unlike the pictures shown by the regime media as Al Malakhna Mosque.
Local sources in regime-held neighborhood of Al-Midan in Aleppo emphasized that the regime air forces targeted it, causing 5 casualties. Despite this fact, Assad's government claimed that the source of the shells are “the armed terrorist groups”.
Since the regime forces and the Russian planes started their fierce bombardment against Aleppo nine days ago, pro-regime websites have been posting news and images about Aleppo “disaster” using the most popular photos and videos captured in the rebel-held neighborhoods. Regime supporting channels, including “Russia Today” followed suit by citing the pro-regime media sources.
Most dangerously, the regime recruits a multi-lingual media army to pass its ideas to the western world with the assistance of several colluding world’s media.
