The so-called “Iranian Cultural Center” in Deir Ezzor and the city of Albu Kamal, has set up condolence tents for Qassem Soleimani, head of Iran’s Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported.
Condolence tents were also set up for Soleimani in the neighborhood of al-Tamu in al-Mayadeen city which is controlled by the Iranian militias, SOHR added.
Black flags were raised over the neighborhood’s mosque and on tall buildings, in mourning for Soleimani, according to SOHR.
A U.S. drone carried out a strike at the dawn of Saturday, in which strike the head of Iran’s Quds force Qassem Soleimani was killed with other prominent figures in the vicinity of Baghdad airport in the Iraqi capital.
