BALADI NEWS
Until Monday morning, the Assad regime forces have taken control over 30 villages and towns in Idlib's southern countryside with almost no resistance by the opposition factions.
According to Baladi News correspondent, the Assad regime forces, backed by Russian warplanes and sectarian militias have captured within seven days dozens of villages in the southern countryside of Idlib, amid clashes with the opposition factions, which clashes can not be called "battles".
Meanwhile, pro-Assad web pages reported that negotiations are taking place through reconciliation committees to hand over the city of Maarat al-Numan and its countryside.
The spokesman of the National Front for Liberation, Captain Naji Mustafa, has denied any direct or indirect negotiations between the opposition factions and regime forces, pointing out that clashes are still going on, and armed factions are able to counter the attack and recapture the areas taken by the regime forces recently.
