Twelve civilians were killed and dozens injured today, Sunday, as a result of air strikes which targeted the eastern villages and towns of rural Maarrat Al-Numan.
The Assad regime and Russian warplanes launched about 200 air raids on Maarrat Al-Numan city, as well as the villages and towns in its eastern countryside, Baladi News correspondent reported.
This resulted in the death of 12 civilians and the injury of dozens, most of them are residents of the areas who were displaced but came back to take their belongings.
Baladi correspondent added that the number of victims was placed on Maarat Al-Numan city by four civilians, two civilians in al-Deir al-Sharqi village, and three civilians in the town of Telemens.
Three other civilians were killed as they were fleeing the bombardment in Takana village in Idlib's southern countryside. They were killed as warplanes targeted their agricultural tractor while they were crossing the international highway near Maarrat Al-Numan.
It is noteworthy that more than 210,000 civilians have been displaced during the past five days according to the Response Coordinator's Group.
