The Syrian opposition factions on Saturday midnight thwarted an attempt by the Assad regime forces and Russian mercenaries to advance on the axis of Hama's western countryside, west of Syria.
The operations' room "Incite the Believers" said in a statement that its fighters thwarted an infiltration attempt for the Assad and Russian forces in the area of Sahl al-Ghab, in Hama's western countryside.
The statement added that the artillery brigade of the operations' room shelled the regime forces stationed in the area, without reporting their [regime forces] losses.
The Assad and Russian forces every night carry out different attempts to advance against the opposition fighters using sophisticated weapons, however, the opposition factions thwarted all their attempts and costed them big losses in lives and equipment.
