More than half a million people in the liberated city of Aleppo are being subjected to genocides due to the severe air strikes by Syrian regime and Russia which aim at displacing civilians of the city by force, while the international community, UN and those who call for a political solution in Syria are still failing to speak out against these vicious attacks.
Hundreds of civilians were killed by attacks that targeted vital facilities, hospitals and schools for the last week in order to force the Syrian opposition and its factions to make concessions in Geneva talks.
Displacement of civilians
Abo al-majd, a captain in al-Sham brigades believes that the Syrian regime along with Russia are aiming at pushing civilians out of Aleppo in order to besiege the city then take it over. "By these air strikes the Syrian regime is trying to put pressure on the opposition in Geneva talks after the latter has demanded to oust the regime and form a transitional rule committee with full powers, added the captain. Abo al-Majd also said that Iranian Militias failed to make any progress in southern countryside of Aleppo, suffered heavy losses and lost any hope to reach Kefraya and al-Foua. As a result, the regime with his Russians allies are now seeking revenge against the revolutionary factions by targeting innocent civilians.
The captain also said that the revolutionary factions are all ready to repel any ground attack launched by the Iranian militias or the regime forces on Aleppo. A reliable source confirmed to Baladi News that the plan has two phases. The first phase is to push people out of Aleppo by launching severe attacks on inhabited areas, hospitals, markets and vital places such as civil defense centers, While the second is to launch military ground attacks by Iranian militias under Russian air strikes cover on the opposition territories south and north of Aleppo in order to siege the city.
American Green Light
The source also added that the air strikes were given the green light by the American foreign minister John Kerry when he declared that Aleppo has become a stronghold for al-Nusra Front, claiming that differentiating between “terrorists and moderates” is very difficult.
“All revolutionary factions must be aware that the battle of Aleppo is pivotal as the west is turning a blind eye towards the sufferings of civilians and ignoring the ways of killing and destroying committed by Russians, Iranian along with al-Assad.” the source added. He also called on the factions to unite their military action and to put their trust in the Supreme Commission for Negotiations which has been undergoing huge pressures to submit to the plan of leaving al-Assad in power.
Russian Allegations
The General Staff of the Russian Army claimed that al-Nusra Front has been mobilizing its fighters around Aleppo in order to launch an all-out attack.
“The radicals are planning to control the road between Aleppo and Damascus” said Sergi Rodskoy, commander of the main operations of the General Staff. Although, the road is under the rebels' control, Iranian militias have been trying to take it over since the beginning of the Russian attacks on Syria on September 30 last year. "TASS", the Russian news agency has reported the regime's prime minister saying “Russia and Syria are preparing together to launch an attack to (liberate Aleppo) and defeat all the armed groups that refused to join the ceasefire”
Other sources have confirmed to Baladi news that Iran has mobilized in the last months thousands of Iraqi and Afghani militias along with revolutionary guards and Basij forces to start the grand battle of Aleppo.
The sources also confirmed that since the Russian military intervention in Syria, Iran has sent militias to start the battle of Nobol and al-Zahraa in the northern countryside of Aleppo and to lift the siege off Kafraya and al-Foua in Idlib. Moreover, they moved the Kurdish factions in Shikh Maksoud neighborhood in Aleppo. Iran is also trying to reach the highway connecting Aleppo and Damascus from the southern countryside of Aleppo. "Iran has the biggest interest in the Russian intervention in Syria because Iran has reinforced its fronts with militias during the ceasefire. However, the delaying of Aleppo battle came after Iran's heavy losses in southern countryside of Aleppo", suggested the sources.
