New U.S. military reinforcements have been dispatched to the military bases in northeastern Syria near the oil fields in Deir Ezzor.
Russian media sources said that 20 trucks belong to the U.S. troops entered Sunday morning from the Iraqi borders and headed to Hassakeh.
The trucks were loaded with logistic equipment, military vehicles, and vehicle carriers, as well as oil tankers, the Russian media sources pointed out.
In the beginning of November, around 170 trucks accompanied by 17 armoured vehicles carrying U.S. troops entered the Syrian territories from North Iraq through Semalka border crossing. The trucks were loaded with logistic and military equipment, and was accompanied by U.S. aircraft.
This batch of U.S. reinforcements was the largest within the previous few months.
It's noteworthy that U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he will keep 200 U.S. troops to secure the oil fields from ISIS.
