Turkish fighter jets launched several airstrikes on positions belong to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Ain Issa, in Raqqa's countryside, killing scores of them and wounding many, Baladi News correspondent cited local sources in Raqqa as saying.
Dozens of dead SDF fighters were taken to the National Hospital in Raqqa, while dozens of wounded members were taken to medical points in Raqqa and its northern countryside, this happened due to the fierce clashes which took place on Saturday morning between the SDF and Peace Spring forces, within the Peace Spring operation launched in October.
Turkish troops with support of Syrian National Army launched Peace Spring operation to eliminate YPG/ SDF militias from the Turkish border and to establish a safe zone in North Syria where refugees can safely return to their country.
On Saturday, the Peace Spring troops captured new villages in Raqqa's northern countryside, following fierce clashes with the SDF.
