The second batch of humanitarian and relief aid entered on Monday Al-Rastan city in the northern countryside of Homs. The estimated number of trucks arrived in the city was about 35 following 65 trucks which arrived earlier.
A reliable source told Baladi News that the Syrian government centered in Al-Kum village targeted the humanitarian convoy while entering the village of Teir Maalah heading to the village of Al-Ghantoo in the countryside of Homs. The shelling by the regime forces led to the injury of one of the trucks' driver and to the breakdown of the truck.
"Regime forces targeted the truck pretending that the rebels are erecting sand barricades between the villages of Al-Ghantoo and Teir Maalah, according to a member of the Red Crescent. "Regime forces told us that they have detected that the rebels had benefited from these trucks to erect sand barricades, but we couldn't see anything when we entered the area", he added.
