Syrian activists have launched hashtags on "Twitter and Facebook," titled "Our Children are Being Killed Under Obama's Support" , accusing the US president of providing support to Assad's regime, especially after saying that eliminating Assad is a "fatal error".
Faisal Al-Qassim, the Syrian journalist commented on Obama's statements by saying: "when the term of office of former US President George W. Bush ended, the world rejoiced at his departure and welcomed the advent of President Obama, who was the first black president to reach power in America. Many have thought that his African origin would make him sympathize with poor people's conditions and realize justice in the world. But it was not the case, as the days of "Evil" Bush appeared to be good compared to the days of "Good" Obama". The world has never witnessed such criminality, destruction and chaos as in the reign of Obama who have sold us more weapons than all his predecessors together," he added.
"Obama does not stand for a military intervention in Syria to overthrow Assad's regime, but on the other hand he would intervene against ISIS and fight in air and on ground, isn't this in favor of Assad?, said Al-Qassem in another tweet. He also wondered "why would some people think that America's job is to realize justice and punish criminals and tyrants in the world like the Syrian regime and others of his ilk! Do not they know that the US is the leader of aggression and tyranny in the world?
How would you seek help from a country that committed hundreds of acts of aggression against many countries in the world?
How would you seek help from a country that liquidated the entire nation of the Red Indians? How would you seek help from the first nation to use atomic bomb in history? How would Syrians seek help from America that killed more than a million Iraqi and displaced more than 5 others? How would you seek help from a country that devastated Afghanistan? How would you seek help from a country that supports the Israelis in killing and displacing Palestinian people? Had America historically supported anyone other than tyrants and dictators in Latin America and the Middle East? How silly are those who seek help from a murderer to kill another murderer! Do not you know that what unites America and the criminal regime in Damascus is much more than what combines America and millions of the dead and displaced in Syria? Stop seeking help from murderers and beasts. They are of one kind.", stated Al-Qassim in a tweet.
"Days will prove that neither Iran nor Russia strengthened Assad's hand to eliminate an entire nation that called for freedom. The world is watching the remains of our children as Obama and Israel protected the criminal over the five past years," said Khaled Abou Al-Majid, the media activist.
US President Barack Obama said earlier that "It would be a “mistake” for the west to send ground troops into Syria to overthrow Bashar al-Assad."
