Three civilians died, including one child and a woman while others wounded on Sunday due to Russian airstrikes on Al-Mowasalat neighborhood in Aleppo.
Russian warplanes launched raids on the neighborhoods of Al-Sakhoor, Al-Sha'ar, Al-Sukari, Al-Saliheen and Seif Al-Dawla causing significant material damages in the targeted areas, according to Baladi News correspondent.
The correspondent added that Russian air force launched air strikes against the areas of Al-Rashideen and Al-Bohouth Al-Elmia along with the towns of Al-Mansura and Kafr Naha in the western countryside of Aleppo with no casualties reported.
Russian air force stepped up its shelling on the neighborhoods of Aleppo in the last two days, which led to the death of more than 60 civilians and wounding dozens.
The Russian warplanes are back in the skies over Syria, and for the past several weeks, the Kremlin has been beefing up its presence, sending aircraft and sophisticated air-defense systems, and the targets were rebel-held areas where IS has little to no presence.
For Mr. Putin clearly, an important goal is the propping up of his long-time ally, Bashar Assad, who controls some 20% of his country after four years of bloody war.
