The US President Donald Trump said that the ISIS leader's body is in a safe place.
Several sources reported that the remains of Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi have been transferred to the base of Ain Al-Assad in al-Baghdadi district of Anbar province in Iraq.
The eight US aircraft which targeted the ISIS leader, has taken off from Sareen airport in Kobani's countryside, and had then flew over the Turkish Syrian borders towards the operations' site in Barisha, the sources pointed out.
The same sources added that several bodies were transferred to the base of Ain Al-Assad.
The body of Baghdadi may be buried in Iraq, the sources said, where some US officials confirmed that the burial rites will be respected.
US National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien said Sunday that the remains of Baghdadi will be buried properly.
O'Brien added that Baghdadi's DNA was confirmed in the past hours.
The retired US Air Force general Cedric Layton shed the light on US intelligence reports which said that the ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi used to sleep wearing an explosive belt, which justifies the fact that he was killed in Barish and not arrested.
