The US President Donald Trump said on Monday that it's time to getting out of the ridicules endless war in Syria, referring to the withdrawal of US troops from Syria.
On his Twitter account Mr. Trump wrote that Turkey, Europe, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Russia and the Kurds will now have to figure the situation out in Syria.
"The Kurds fought with us, but were paid massive amounts of money and equipment to do so", he said.
In the same context, the New York Times on Monday quoted US administration officials as saying that the US president spoke directly with the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, about the forthcoming military operation east of the Euphrates.
Around 100 to 150 US military personnel deployed in the east of the Euphrates will be withdrawn before any Turkish operation, but will not be fully withdrawn from Syria according to the officials.
Baladi News correspondent in Raqqa said that US forces have withdrawn completely from the US base located near the city of "Tal Abyad" in the northern countryside of Raqqa.
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have mobilized and sent a large number of troops to the city of Tal Abyad and set dozens of checkpoints inside the town.
Earlier on Monday, after a telephone call between Mr. Trump and his Turkish counterpart Mr. Erdogan the White House announced that the United States will not support Turkey in its operation in northern Syria.
Erdogan said on Saturday Ankara is ready to launch an operation in northern Syria east of the Euphrates River in the following few days.
Erdogan asserted that the Turkish operation aims to clear the Syria-Turkey borders from the "SDF", and to establish a safe zone which will shelter millions of Syrian refugees.
